On behalf of Baltic Society of Phlebology, it is my great pleasure to invite you to Kaunas, Lithuania, where the 17th International Master Course of Phlebology will take place in cooperation with Polish Society of Phlebology, Endovascular Specialists Association of Lithuania, Lithuanian Society of Vascular Surgery and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Hospitals. This year the event will be held under the theme of “Modern Interventions on Deep Vein System”.
In recent years, significant progress has been achieved in the field of interventional treatment of Deep Vein obstruction, pelvic congestion, “nutcracker” syndrome, as well as venous malformations. This year’s Master Course will focus on the significance of different contemporary diagnostic technology methods helping physicians to select patients fit for deep vein interventions and respectively apply the most appropriate treatment method.
Following the theoretical part of the Master Course, several live sessions will be carried out featuring cases directly from Lithuanian Medical University Hospital through a video broadcast to the meeting hall.
The main aim of this year’s Master Course is to commonly look for the answers regarding various questions dealing with the interventional treatment of deep veins and thereafter to implement the answers received into our daily practice.
The Master Course aims to attract Phlebologists, Dermatologists, Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Cardiologists, Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Urologists, Surgeons, Vascular surgeons and physicians of other specialities to update daily practise by implementing a modern approach of treatment for usually underdiagnosed and undertreated pathologies.
